Construction will begin on our building projects on Monday, March 6th. You will notice construction equipment onsite and limited access to the building, mainly in the gym lobby area, when students and staff return on Tuesday, March 7th.
Please be cautious around the construction areas and DO NOT enter fenced/taped off areas.

Last night we had the pleasure of recognizing three of our outstanding students at Dieterich Unit #30 during the Illinois Principal’s Association student recognition banquet in Newton. NO SCHOOL - Monday, February 20th - President's Day
Betsy Ross, aka Patty Winn, visited first grade this morning and talked about the American flag and the meaning of the colors. Our students really enjoyed her presentation!
Tonight’s HS Boys Basketball game against Grayville will start at 6:00 and will be a Varsity game only. Stop by the cafeteria at 5:30 to learn more about the upcoming construction project and the changes to our facilities. The DHS Auto Club will be selling porkburgers from 3:30-7:30 in the HS Lobby, also at halftime of the game we will be recognizing the 7th Grade Boys Basketball Team for their 2nd place finish at State. Hope to see everyone tonight!

🚒 Firetruck parade through the streets of Dieterich at 2 PM
🏫 Return to the high school gym after the parade for an introduction of the team and speeches by coaches and others
🏀 Stay for our annual PAST VS. FUTURE ball game at 3 pm. The boys will take on their dads, uncles, older brothers, or moms while the cheerleaders cheer against their moms, aunts, sisters, or cousins! 7th grade will play first, followed by 8th grade.

If you are coming Thursday night for the basketball game or the meeting about the school addition, COME HUNGRY! The Auto Club will be cooking pork burgers in the high school lobby from 3:30-7:30.
Yesterday, our 3rd grade students had the honor of meeting the Effingham county K-9 units, Officer Schuette and Officer Torbeck, along with their K-9's Zeno and Dax! The students learned about the K-9's role in public safety as well as how they are trained. Thank you to our SRO Dustin Reardon for setting this program up!
Congratulations to Connor Flach, Breanna Shull, Callie Gephart, and Kinley Parish for being named Illinois State Scholars!
