On January 16th, Dieterich High School inducted the following individuals and teams into our Hall of Fame.
Jay Finn has been inducted as a Friend of Dieterich Athletics. Jay has served the school for over 30 years and has been supportive to the athletic program in preparing the gyms, cleaning the gyms, fixing broken items, and you can even see him greeting the players with the school flag after a big game. We appreciate Jay for everything he does for our students and school!
John Steppe has been inducted as a Friend of Dieterich Athletics. John was a super-fan. He never missed a baseball or basketball game, always sitting in the front row with a bag of popcorn. He was often invited by the coach to attend practices to give encouragement and advice to the players.
John Moeller was inducted as a Friend of Dieterich Athletics. John ran the clock at home games from 1982-1991 and did the clock and book for any level of girls and boys contests from 1985-1995. He helped get the softball fields ready for games and umpired a slow pitch softball tournament to raise money for the Boys' Basketball players to go to Hawaii.
The 1983-84 team finished the season with a final record of 21-5. They were MTC champions, and Listed in the (Class A) AP poll for 8 weeks of the season. This team is also the only Boys team to beat Teutopolis at Teutopolis. The 83-84 team shot more free-throws than their opponents in every single game.

Pickup & Drop-Off Reminder – Please Do Not Block Driveways
Dear Parents and Guardians,
We are reaching out with a quick reminder regarding student pickup and drop-off procedures.
Recently, we received a concern from nearby residents about vehicles blocking private driveways during pickup times. To help address this issue, a “Do Not Block Driveway” sign has been installed at the affected location.
We kindly ask all parents, grandparents, and caregivers to be mindful of where they park or stop their vehicles and to avoid blocking any residential driveways during pickup and drop-off. This is important for the safety, access, and courtesy owed to our neighbors.
Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us maintain positive relationships within our community. We appreciate your support in keeping our pickup and drop-off procedures safe and respectful for everyone.
Sincerely,
Cary Jackson
