The Dieterich Community Education Foundation’s (DCEF) St. Patrick’s Day Trivia Night is right around the corner on March 16, 2024. Please see the attached flyer for details and start getting your teams ready! DCEF uses fundraising efforts to support scholarships for graduating seniors of Dieterich High School pursuing continued higher education. To date, the Foundation has provided over $100,000 in scholarships to 246 graduates. These scholarships would not be possible without the continued support of the community! 1st graders asked the 5th graders to join them today in writing Leap Day Letters. The students wrote letters to themselves to be opened at the next Leap Day in 2028. At that time, the current 1st graders will be in 5th grade and hopefully will continue the tradition by writing helping those 1st graders write letters

Due to the use of an Emergency Day on January 22nd, the last day of student attendance will be Friday, May 17th. DHS Graduation will be Saturday, May 11th at 2pm.
Tonight's JH Volleyball matches v. Jasper County will be played in the HS Gym. The 7th grade game will begin at 4:15. It is 8th Grade night and we will be recognizing the 8th graders between games.
Mrs. Zerrusen and her high school art classes have been creating monsters for our Kindergarten students. Over this week, each Kindergarten student received their own unique monster!

IHSA Girls Basketball Regionals begin today! Dieterich will be hosting Red Hill at 1:00, come out to the gym and support the team as they begin postseason play. Admission for all IHSA Regional games is $5.00 per person regardless of age. IHSA Regional games are not streamed on Hudl.

Congratulations to our Dieterich OPAA! Team! They were recognized as being in the top 3 in the entire OPAA! company for the month of January. They may be #3 in the company, but they're always #1 with us!! Well done!
Last Friday DHS students competed in the ACES academic challenge at Lake Land College. Congratulations to Ryan Rich for placing first overall in Computer Science and second in Math in our division! Ryan will now move on to compete in the next round of competition at EIU later in the year.
