Attention Dieterich Community! The High School Boys Basketball game at Altamont on January 6th will be a fundraiser game to help two families fighting cancer. One of the families is a Dieterich native. There is a tshirt fundraiser, there will be an auction and other activities at this game to help raise money. January 6th varsity Friday Jan. 6, 2023 Dieterich and Altamont communities will be "Ballin for a Cure" to help support two ACHS families!
Shaylyn Thompson is battling a rare one in 2 million cancer. She is the loving mother of Jarrett (senior) and Katrian (sophomore).
Heather Hodge Davis, a Dieterich graduate, is battling stage 4 colon cancer. She is the loving mother of Kaden (junior), Kale (6th grade), Keaton (3rd grade), Kyson (Kindergarten).
Free will admission donation, silent auction raffle, and more to help these two Altamont Indian families as they navigate their journeys.

First graders started a fun project with the help of the high school ag students. Students were measured and created snowmen at their height. Each year, they can take the snowman out and see how much they grew!




Thank you to Seth Bohnhoff from WCIA Channel 3 News for coming to talk to Mrs. Worman and Mrs. Koester’s class about how he went from a fourth grader at Dieterich to a meteorologist on TV!





Thank you to our awesome group of mentors! Today, they had a Christmas party with their student and were able to have lunch and spend time together! Dieterich Boys, Girls Tournament Pairings

Dieterich High School will play host to both a boys and a girls basketball tournament beginning Monday, December 26 and running through Wednesday, December 28.
In the boys tournament in Pool A are Dieterich, Arcola, Sullivan and Oblong/Palestine/Hutsonville. In Pool B are South Central, Grayville, Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City and Red Hill (Bridgeport). Dieterich drew the No. 1 seed while South Central was second.
In the girls tournament in Pool A are Dieterich, Arcola, Marshall and Red Hill (Bridgeport). In Pool B are Brownstown/St. Elmo, Newton, South Central and Casey-Westfield. Dieterich drew the No. 1 seed while BSE was the No. 2 seed.

There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive today in the Dieterich School cafeteria from 2:00-6:00.

Our first grade students showed off their reading skills to our Kindergarten students today! They are all working hard!




Mrs. Heuerman's 3rd grade class and Mrs. Field's 1st grade class recently won books through the Illinois Agriculture in the Classroom teacher book grant. Each classroom received up to $200 in books focusing on STEM in Agriculture (3H) and Seasons (1F). Congratulations!



Good Luck to the 8th Grade Girls Basketball team in the sectional championship tonight against Brownstown! The game will be played at St. Anthony Grade School and will start at 6:30. Come out and support the team!
