Dieterich Junior High School is pleased to host the 7th Grade Girls Basketball NTC Tournament. The tournament will be played in the high school gym every day except Thursday (10/20) where it will be played in the junior high gym. Admission to the games is $4/adults and $2 for students and Senior Citizens age 62+. Passes and Dieterich shirts will not gain admittance to the tournament, everyone must pay at the door.
There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, October 18th in the Dieterich School cafeteria from 2:00-6:00.

Thanks to everyone that bought a pork burger a few weekends ago from the auto club. We were able to purchase a borescope for our class. It's an inspection camera that enables the user to look into places they typically wouldn’t be able to see. Today the students used it to look inside the spark plug holes of different engines to examine the quality of the cylinders. Thanks again for supporting the auto club and enabling us to purchase new tools for the students!

Post Prom apparel store is open again. Orders will be ready in time for Christmas. Store closes October 31.
REMINDER: The North Pointe bus route (Hazard Route) will be running early this afternoon. The bus will leave school at 2:55pm.
Thank you to the Dieterich Fire Department for discussing fire safety with our 2nd graders today!

On Thursday, October 6th, we will not have enough drivers to cover all routes. We will be dismissing students who ride on the hazard route to leave school at 2:55 so that they can be taken home and the driver can make it back to take an out of town route at the usual dismissal time. This will only effect those students living in town who ride the hazard route. We apologize for the inconvenience, if you are unable to make arrangements for your child during this time please contact the elementary office.
Dieterich Elementary parents, an email was sent to you this afternoon with information on parent teacher conferences. Please review the information and choose the link attached to your child's teacher to view available conferences time slots.
Parent teacher conferences are the evening of Thursday October 20th and the morning of October 21st.
Thank you for your cooperation as we implement this new process for signing up for parent teacher conferences!

Thank you to everyone who came and supported the "Volley for a Cure" game last night. Over $6,400 was raised for the Garcia family!

Thank you to Jeff Ruholl, Jessica Bloemer, and The Equity in Dieterich for showing our 8th grade Career Exploration Class their facilities as well as informing them on careers in the field of agriculture.

There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Tuesday, October 18th in the Dieterich School cafeteria from 2:00-6:00.

Please note the following changes for Cross Country and Baseball on 9/27:
Baseball will be a 4:00 start time.
Cross Country will run one race at 4:30.
Reminder:
Due to scheduling of a home cross country meet and a home baseball game on the same night we are asking parents/fans to not park in the right field parking lot and left field grass for the baseball game on Sept. 27th. The reason for this is because those areas are part of the cross country course. Thank you for your cooperation.
The JV Baseball game at Brownstown for today 9/23/22, has been canceled.
The Dieterich Automotive Club will be selling pork burgers and hot dogs during the JV baseball tournament on Saturday from 10:30-1. Come hungry and support the automotive club!

Congratulations to Ryan Repking for receiving the Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundation grant in the amount of $750.
The Illinois Retired Teachers Association Foundation (IRTAF) awards $36,500 in grant money to several public school educators (Pre-K through 12) statewide. This money will be used to purchase tools for the Dieterich Automotive classes.

Tomorrow's volleyball game at Clay City (Thurs. 9/22/22) will be a varsity game only starting at 6:15 due to a low number of players for Clay City.
