Graduation Update: We have received the latest guidance from the State Board regarding graduation ceremonies. ISBE states "We need to remember that no matter how devastating it feels to miss these sacred rites of spring, the health and safety of our students, families, and communities must remain our top priority."
"Therefore, in-person graduation ceremonies of any kind are not allowed at this time. This directive extends to drive-through graduation ceremonies or events where students come in small groups to the school or another location for a photo or to walk across a stage. The Governor’s extended stay-at-home order prohibits group gatherings. I join you in hoping that events can resume in person sooner rather than later, but that time is not now."
Dieterich High School is still hopeful that a ceremony of some sort can take place. Unfortunately at this point, it is unclear when that will be.

We saddened to hear of the passing of a former Dieterich CUSD 30 employee, Stella Donaldson. Stella worked as a custodian in 1976-77 and as a bus driver 1981-84, 1991, 1994-97 and 2002-03.
Our deepest sympathies are with her friends and family.

Senior Spotlight:
The school closure has been difficult on everyone at Dieterich Schools. It has been especially rough for the DHS Class of 2020. We have asked seniors to share some information about themselves so we can honor them on social media. These "Senior Spotlights" will be posted each day through the remainder of the school year (depending on how many we get returned). Please leave words of encouragement for each student. As a community let's recognize the DHS Class of 2020!
