A group of Effingham area business leaders recently presented Carly Ohnesorge from Dieterich High School the Dec. award for Mathematic/Scientific scholastic achievement known as Hall of FAME, which represents Fantastic Area Mathematicians (Scientists) Extraordinaire. Carly was selected by her school staff based on preset standards for her high academic achievement in science. Presenting the award are Daryl Smith of Merz Heating and Air Conditioning, Carly, Art Green of Full Circle Realty & Michael Tappendorf of Milano & Grunloh Engineers. Sponsors not able to attend were Joe’s Pizza, H & M Concrete Construction, and Effingham Urology. Carly plans to continue her education & then study toward becoming a veterinarian. The leadership of these businesses knows that excellence in academics play an important part in the growth and vitality of our area and wish to encourage the scholastic endeavors of our leaders of tomorrow.
