Good evening Dieterich School parent or guardian.
Governor JB Pritzker has declared mandatory school closures for all schools, both public and private, serving Illinois pre-kindergarten through 12th grade students.
This mandatory closure takes effect Tuesday, March 17. Currently, we anticipate the closure to last through March 30. Dieterich Schools will be open on Monday March 16th. Please watch our Facebook page or website for more information. Thank you.

Just a reminder that the Sportsbackers laundry soap sales ended on March 11th. Please turn in all order forms to the HS office by the end of the day Friday.

Our 5th grade students had their end of the quarter auction today! Students gain tickets throughout the quarter for helping in class, having assignments completed on time and other good deeds! The students were having a great time!

Thanks to the generosity of our Dieterich parents, students and community our library was able to purchase $2,800 worth of new books through the Reach for the Stars reading program!

Last night we had the pleasure of recognizing three of our outstanding students at Dieterich Unit #30 during the Illinois Principal’s Association student recognition banquet in Olney. Dieterich Elementary students proved to their principal that they are outstanding readers!
Elementary Principal Josh Benefiel struck a deal with his students. If they read more than 60,0000 minutes in February, Mr. Benefiel would allow the student to tape him to the wall.
The students were up to the challenge, and read more than 80,000 minutes, earning them the victory over their principal.
The challenge was part of the Reach For The Stars reading program.
Well done super star readers!

Congratulations to Taylor Curry for signing a letter of intent to play volleyball at Missouri Valley College. We are very proud of you and wish you the best of luck in the future!

Dear Parents of High School and Junior High band(marching band and
flags), basketball, baseball, cheerleading, cross country, dance, scholar
bowl, softball, trap team and volleyball players,
It is time for the Sportbackers to begin the annual soap sales! The
Sportsbackers help support students involved in junior high and high school
band (marching band and flags), basketball, baseball, cheerleading, cross
country, dance, scholar bowl, softball, trap, and volleyball. With the help of
fundraisers, the Sportsbackers have been able to give funds to each of
these groups. With these funds, they have been able to purchase items to
help in practice and games.
Order forms for soap sales will be sent home with the students. Please
collect payment at the time of the order. The sales will take place from
February 21st to March 11th, with an approximate delivery date one week
to 10 days after all orders are turned in. We ask that all students involved in
the listed sports/activities participate in these sales.
The Sportsbackers appreciate all of the help we get from the parents,
grandparents, friends, family and the community. Without your help, we
would not be able to keep these sports and activities alive! If you have any
questions, feel free to contact any of the Sportsbackers board members or
by reaching out to our facebook page.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT!!
