The Dieterich Park District will be hosting a baseball clinic for 3rd thru 8th grade boys on June 11th from 5:00 - 8:00 PM at the Dieterich Park. Britton's Bullpen will be instructing the clinic. Cost is $10/person. The clinic will focus on pitching, hitting and fielding. Register online or mail the completed forms to PO Box 17, Dieterich.

Hamilton's Own Soldier of the Week is SGT Dalton Flach (13B). During the battery’s recent certification, SGT Flach was chosen above his peers to become the chief of section for Bravo 11 due to his technical and tactical expertise of the M109A7 howitzer. SGT Flach continuously and tirelessly studied the necessary manuals to ensure that he would be able to certify when the testing date arrived, and he did so with new section members whom he had previously not worked with. He quickly adapted to the new crew, and was able to lead them through the certification process successfully. SGT Flach’s ability to certify enabled Bravo Battery to remain lethal and ready to fight during the battery’s period of transition. His actions embody what it means to be a Big Red One Soldier and a member of Hamilton’s Own.

Come join us this week for our Spring Concerts/Art Show. The Dieterich Jr/Sr High Concert/Art Show will be on Monday, April 1st at 7:00 P.M and the Elementary Concert/Art Show will be on Tuesday, April 2nd at 7:00 P.M. Both will be in the high school gym. The Dieterich Class of 2021 will be having a cookout prior to the Elementary Concert/Art Show on Tuesday night. The cookout will run from 4:30-7:00 in the cafeteria. Come and support the Class of 2021 and enjoy some good food!

Upon learning of an incident involving an inappropriate conversation between a substitute teacher and a student, the Dieterich Unit #30 administrative team took immediate and appropriate action. The substitute teacher was removed from the assignment, dismissed for the day, and their services will not be utilized in the future.
We take the safety and well-being of each and every student very seriously. Please be assured that extensive background checks are performed on every employee, including substitute teachers. It is our responsibility and duty to provide the best possible education for our community.

A big congratulations to Caleb Klingler. He is the winner of the four St. Louis Cardinals tickets. Caleb's name was drawn from all the students who participated in the school's Great American Opportunities library fundraiser.
Mrs. Richars would like to thank all the parents and students who took the time to fill out the Great American Reach Out coupon booklets and purchased magazine subscriptions. All funds raised through this event will be used to purchase new elementary library books centered around recycling and conservation.

Dieterich students from Mrs. Kinkelaar's Careers Class visited EVAPCO Inc. in Greenup, IL today. Students were able to tour the manufactuing, engineering, and welding departments.

Elementary Spring Concert
I promise this may be one of my last reminders as I sent a small reminder home yesterday! The home rooms where they will be meeting at will be the same as the Christmas concert. It will be along the high school hallway and I will have signs up and ready on their doors just in case.
Please do not drop them off with out supervision as it was a problem in the last concert. Please have them stay with you in the gym or waiting OUTSIDE the classroom until the teacher shows up.
Band students need to report to the band room. 6th grade meet at 6: 15 if possible & 5th grade band kids meet at 6:30.

The Past vs. Future Basketball game where the JH Boys Basketball team plays their dads and the JH cheerleaders cheer against their moms is Saturday, March 23, 2019 at 4:00p.m. in the high school gym. The school calendar has the wrong time, it is at 4:00p.m.
Mark your calendars! On Tuesday, March 26th @ 6:30pm in the Dieterich High School cafeteria, Mr. Cary Jackson (Superintendent of Dieterich Unit #30 Schools) will be providing a brief presentation on the proposed County School Facility Tax (CSFT) that will appear on the April 2nd ballot. This will be a perfect opportunity to educate yourself on the proposed CSFT! All are welcome to join including those who are already aware of the tax, those who are interested in learning more about the tax and those who may have questions about the proposed tax. Cary will also be providing insight as to how the funds will be used to lower Dieterich property taxes and create some exciting new opportunities for Dieterich schools!
