Mrs. Field’s and Mrs. Hann’s first grade classes visited the post office yesterday to decorate their tree and sing a Christmas song!!





The following students were nominated and had the honor to perform at McKendree Honor Band & Choir festival.

They were chosen based on performance inside the classroom, work ethic, and musical ability.
They had a 2 hour rehearsal on Sunday and an all day rehearsal on Monday under the direction of two very fine college educators from UMKC.
They performed highly advance music and put a wonderful concert that same evening.

The Kindergarten classes had their Thanksgiving party today!



This is the 33rd year for the 4th grade Thanksgiving feast. The honorary guests were Mrs. Wright and Mrs. Ogden!



There will not be a Fresh/Soph game Friday, December 6th at Stew-Stras. JV will begin at 6:00p.m. Stew-Stras will have activities going on, it is their homecoming and they are having a benefit dinner and raffle for a teacher fighting medical conditions. They would appreciate any Dieterich fans to participate in this fundraiser. The meal is 4:30-6:30.

The morning and afternoon preschool classes had their Thanksgiving feast yesterday with Ms. Doan and Ms. Hagen!

POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for someone who loves children and excels in a fast-paced environment! This individual washes dishes, pots and pans required for preparation of breakfast, lunches and assist with occasional catering functions for students, staff and patrons of the school district by performing the following duties.
FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB
Wash dishes, pots, pans and other kitchen equipment by hand or with dishwashing machines.
Clean and maintain equipment in dishwashing area.
Monitor chemical usage in dishwashing area
Remove clean dishes from machine and places them in serving areas.
Keep work area neat, clean, and organized.
Operate slicers, mixers, grinders and other equipment with proper certification, as required.
Assist in some of the preparation of foods for meal service or preparation of menu items in strict compliance with Opaa! recipes.
Serve individual portions of food to customers, as required.
Keep serving lines/condiments supplied with food items, napkins, silverware and dishes
Assist in keeping and maintaining accurate production records.
Physical/Visual Activities or Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, kneel, crawl, push, pull, grasp, feel, taste, smell, talk, hear, and reach with hands and arms.
The employee must exert over 60 pounds of force occasionally and/or be able to frequently lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 25 pounds.
Working Conditions:
Frequently works around moving mechanical parts and is frequently exposed to wet and/or humid conditions and extreme heat.
Noise level is usually loud.
Desired qualifications, skills and experience
POSITION QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Must be 18 years old or older. Requires successful completion of a background check. TB and other immunizations may be required (state of KS only).
High School Diploma or GED, preferred; or up to one month related experience, training or equivalent combination of education and experience.
