Dieterich Schools will have a 2:00 PM early dismissal on Thursday, December 18.
The town bus route will run at 1:45 PM.
This early dismissal is to allow our parents, fans, and staff ample time to attend and support our 8th Grade Girls at the IESA State Basketball Game. 🏀
We understand that this may necessitate changes in dismissal and/or transportation procedures for some families. If you need to make changes to your child’s regular dismissal or transportation procedure, please contact the school office.

Our 8th Grade girls defeated Spring Valley Kennedy this afternoon 35-23! They now play tomorrow at 5:00 PM against Springfield Christian, for a chance at the State Championship!!

The girls take action Saturday morning in Havana Jr. High School @ 10:00 AM, against Spring Valley Kennedy! We could not be more excited and proud for these girls for their hard work and dedication. They have accomplished so much in their Jr. High careers and are not done yet!

STATE BOUND! Our 8th grade girls defeated St. Anthony last night 31-29! Our girls will play in state on Saturday at 10:00am against Spring Valley Kennedy. The game is being played at Havana Jr. High School. If they defeat Spring Valley they will then play in the final four, later that evening at 5:00pm.

If you are heading to Cumberland tonight, use an alternate route. The bridge over the interstate that connects Route 40 to Route 121 is closed. A semi colliding with the bridge caused damage to the bridge.

Mr. McManaway and the 6th grade science classes recently dissected earthworms to go along with their Introduction to Animals chapter. Afterwards, they invited the 3rd and 4th graders in to educate them on the different organs and systems of their worms.
