Just a reminder elementary Night Of Stars Talent Show will be next Friday March 8th at 7. The High School & Jr. High Cabaret Show Case will be Saturday March 9th at 7. Tickets for each events are $2 for students/ Senior and $4 for Adults. The more the merrier because top three acts that raise the most money in their bucket of each night will win a prize! Also we are still in need of acts for the Cabaret for Jr. High and High Schools students are interested please contact me or stop by my room.

Dieterich Park District Summer Baseball/ Softball Program needs your help! We need Umpires for our summer baseball and softball games. You do not need any experience and we are paying $20 per game or community service hours.
We are looking for: -Jr. high/high school kids -Parents -Grandparents
We will have an umpire informational meeting to go over rules and expectations.
Parents, If this is something your child would be interested in doing, please talk to them about it. It is a great way to earn service hours or extra summer cash.

Tonight we honored a great group of kids! Thanks for all of the memories!
Tonight is SENIOR Night! We will be recognizing the Senior Cheer, Dance, Boys Basketball and Pep Band members at our last home game tonight. The Cheer, Dance, Boys Basketball members and Senior members of the Maroon Platoon threw a great Pep Assembly to get them pumped up for tonight's game. Go Maroons!
Since we will be having a long weekend, try to take time to wash items such as coats, gloves, hats and lunch boxes. These items carry a lot of germs and sometimes get overlooked. Let's keep everyone healthy! Nurse Julie
The tentative date for Dieterich High School graduation is Saturday, May 18th at 2pm.
Sportsbackers is having their annual laundry and dish soap fundraiser. All school athletic teams, scholar bowl and TRAP team members are asked to help sell items. Each of these teams benefit from Sportsbackers. If you would like to purchase please see a student on one of these teams or send your order to the office. The order form is attached.

Talent show!
Talent Show this year is only K-6 and all acts are welcomed!
Try-outs will be held before school (8:00-8:30), recess, and after school until 4 February 18th -20th and results will be sent home on February 21st.
Please have a CD or an email of your song before their try-out.
Night Out with the Stars –Friday March 1st at 7 in the Jr. High Gym
Cabaret Night- Saturday March 2nd at 7 in the Jr High Gym (if chosen)
A note will be sent home today with act information and will need to be turned in by Friday February 15th.
Dieterich Unit #30 School District will dismiss at 11:30 a.m. on Friday, February 15, 2019. School will not be in session on Monday, February 18th due to the observance of President’s Day. School will resume on Tuesday, February 19th. Enjoy the long weekend!

Congratulations to the DHS Boys’ Fresh-Soph team for defeating NC-CC 66-53 in the St. Elmo Tournament Championship Game. This is the second year in a row the boys have won the title. Keep up the good work Movin’ Maroons!
