
This year Post Prom will be selling tickets for Meat/Money raffle. You have a chance to win all year long in 2025! Starting January each Sunday and holiday there will be a drawing, if your name is pulled out it will go back into the drawing for another chance to win!! We will be selling only 1500 tickets, so look for us at upcoming events or contact a Junior or Senior. Tickets are $20 each.

Dieterich High School Volleyball is hosting the annual "Pink Night" game with Altamont High School. The profits will go to two local Dieterich families battling cancer. The Effingham Regional Career Foundation is looking for its first Executive Director to lead the efforts of the Effingham Regional Career Academy’s mission to provide training that grows the regional workforce through innovative skills-based curriculum and meets the needs of the regional economy. The Executive Director is responsible for providing leadership to support the organization’s philosophy, mission, short-term goals and objectives and long range planning. The Executive Director will have strategic and operational responsibility for the nonprofit’s programs, expansion and execution of its mission. Computer knowledge and work experience, oral and written communication skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and related educational and work experience are beneficial to support the organization’s needs.


Due to circumstances beyond their control, Odin is not able to play the HS Baseball game tonight at Dieterich (9/5/24). Teutopolis is coming instead.

The Dieterich Cheerleaders are having a Formal Dress sale at the Maroon Spoon September 14th. If you have a dress to sell we will try to sell it for you! Cost to sell is $5/dress, $1/accessory. Items can be dropped off at the Maroon Spoon Friday the 13th 3:00-6:00. The sale is Saturday the 14th 9:00-1:00. There is a $1 admission fee. If you don't need a dress, please come support the Maroon Spoon in appreciation of their support to our community and for helping us host the event.


Tonight's HS Volleyball game with WSS will be held at Stew-Stras. Fresh/Soph starts at 5:00.

There will be an American Red Cross blood drive today in the school cafeteria from 2:00-6:00. All units help DHS earn scholarship money.

High school Baseball at St. Anthony: There has been some confusion reported on where the game will be played. It will be at Evergreen park.

The JH Baseball with Stew-Stras and JH Softball with Winsor (both at Dieterich) have been moved to a 7:00p.m. start time.

Tonight's JH Cross Country meet at Jasper County has been canceled due to heat.

Tonight's high school Baseball game at St. Anthony has been delayed to a 7:00p.m. start time due to heat. The bus will leave at 6:00.

We are ready to serve you! Come out and get supper and support Sandy! We moved to the high school circle drive due to the ball game congestion. Burgers can be purchased between the diamonds but meals and bake sale are in the high school parking lot!

The DHS Students and Sportsbackers are hosting a Drive-thru Pork Burger benefit for Sandy Davis who has been undergoing cancer treatments and surgery this summer. The benefit will be Friday, August 23rd from 4:00-7:00p.m. at the Dieterich park. Sandy is a long-time supporter of Dieterich schools and sports. She keeps book for our Basketball program and is an officer of the Sportsbackers .

Please do not drive vehicles across the sidewalks at the ball parks. There has been extensive cracking due to vehicle traffic.
You may still park along the right field fence at the baseball field in the gravel parking lot, but please do not park in the grass.

1-Cent Tax Public Meeting Reminder. Today, Wednesday August 14th, 6pm, in the school cafeteria. This is an informational meeting about the County School Facilities Tax. Everyone is welcome.
