
There will be an American Red Cross Blood Drive on Wednesday, April 13th in the Dieterich School cafeteria from 2:00-6:00.


Due to wet field conditions both the HS Softball and Baseball Games for today (Dieterich vs. Beecher City) have been cancelled.

Due to wet and cold weather conditions the HS Softball Game for today (Dieterich vs. Newton) has been cancelled.

Our first graders had some special visitors this morning! Veterans from the 40 and 8 provided flags to our students and discussed flag etiquette. What a great program for our students and thank you for your service!




Tonight's HS Softball game Neoga @ Dieterich is cancelled due to wet conditions.

Our 8th Grade students recently visited Springfield to tour the Lincoln Home, Museum, and Tomb as well as the Illinois State Military Museum. They enjoyed their trip and wish to thank the rangers and volunteers that hosted them at these sites. Many of them said that they would like to visit again.





Our students and staff members had a great time watching Mr. Bob Tarter and his Animalogy assembly today! Mr. Tarter brought a hedgehog, a snake, a raccoon, and an owl with him today! Some of our staff members had a good look at the king snake and this was a great experience for our students!





We are excited to announce that the Dieterich Elementary PTO Spring Carnival is back!


The Dieterich Sportsbacker soap fundraiser will end this Friday, March 18th. Please have all orders collected and returned to the office on Friday. If you would like to purchase and have not been asked you can print the form and send in your order with payment to the office or contact any athlete, Trap Team, band or scholar bowl member in grades 6-12.

NTC All-Conference Girls Basketball Teams Named

The National Trail All-Conference girls basketball teams were named.
Grace Nelson of Altamont High School, was named to the First Team and earned Most Valuable Player honors. Other First Team members were Sydney Richards (Neoga), Gracie Heckert (Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City), Riley Guy (St. Anthony), Lucy Fearday (St. Anthony) and Lani Morrison (Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City).
Named to the Second Team were Brooklyn Garrett (South Central), Cortney Brummer (Dieterich), Avery Fearday (Neoga), Miah Ballard (North Clay), Haylee Campbell (Neoga) and Peyton Osteen (Altamont).
Honorable Mention went to Lexi Seabaugh (Brownstown/St. Elmo), Laney Webster (South Central) and Ella Kinkelaar (Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg).

Our Kindergartners made windmills today and took a walk to enjoy the weather today!




A quick reminder that Dieterich Unit #30 will not have school on Monday March 7th in observance of Casimir Pulaski Day.

Last night we had the pleasure of recognizing three of our outstanding students at Dieterich Unit #30 during the Illinois Principal’s Association student recognition banquet in Newton. Congratulations to Jadyn Pruemer, Logan Gipson, and Morgan Bierman for all of your hard work and for being selected!

Our first graders have been learning about the American Revolution and yesterday they had a special visitor! Betsy Ross (A.K.A. Patty Winn). She taught them about the American Revolution, the meaning of the parts of the flag, and proper flag etiquette!





Congratulations to the South Central Cougars on winning the Dieterich Class 1A Regional Championship! Good Luck in sectional play. Also, congratulations to the four shooters who advanced to the next round of the three point shootout:

Tonight's JH Volleyball game at St. Elmo has been cancelled.
It is rescheduled for Saturday 2/26/22 at 10:00 am (bus will leave at 8:45 am -- no "C" game)
