NTC All-Conference Girls Basketball Teams Named

The National Trail All-Conference girls basketball teams were named.
Grace Nelson of Altamont High School, was named to the First Team and earned Most Valuable Player honors. Other First Team members were Sydney Richards (Neoga), Gracie Heckert (Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City), Riley Guy (St. Anthony), Lucy Fearday (St. Anthony) and Lani Morrison (Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City).
Named to the Second Team were Brooklyn Garrett (South Central), Cortney Brummer (Dieterich), Avery Fearday (Neoga), Miah Ballard (North Clay), Haylee Campbell (Neoga) and Peyton Osteen (Altamont).
Honorable Mention went to Lexi Seabaugh (Brownstown/St. Elmo), Laney Webster (South Central) and Ella Kinkelaar (Windsor/Stewardson-Strasburg).

Our Kindergartners made windmills today and took a walk to enjoy the weather today!



A quick reminder that Dieterich Unit #30 will not have school on Monday March 7th in observance of Casimir Pulaski Day.
Last night we had the pleasure of recognizing three of our outstanding students at Dieterich Unit #30 during the Illinois Principal’s Association student recognition banquet in Newton. Congratulations to Jadyn Pruemer, Logan Gipson, and Morgan Bierman for all of your hard work and for being selected!

Our first graders have been learning about the American Revolution and yesterday they had a special visitor! Betsy Ross (A.K.A. Patty Winn). She taught them about the American Revolution, the meaning of the parts of the flag, and proper flag etiquette!

Tonight's JH Volleyball game at St. Elmo has been cancelled.
It is rescheduled for Saturday 2/26/22 at 10:00 am (bus will leave at 8:45 am -- no "C" game)
Due to icy road conditions, Dieterich Schools will be closed on Thursday, February 24th. Please check our website and mobile app for any additional information.
Seating Assignments/Procedures for Dieterich 1A Regional
IHSA requires all Regional sites to be fair/neutral as possible. Dieterich High School is putting the following procedures in place to make sure this happens.
Each team’s fans will be assigned one side of the gym. Overflow of fans may sit in the balcony bleachers.
Cisne & Dieterich fans will have the North side.
South Central & Altamont fans will have the South side.
The bleachers will be cleared after the first game. Any fans from Cisne or South Central wanting to stay for the second game will be moved to the balcony bleachers. Any Altamont or Dieterich fans arriving for the first game will have to sit in the balcony bleachers unless the game has started and there are seats available in the lower bleachers.
IHSA admission is $5.00 per person regardless of age.
Due to the predicted forecast and for the safety of the schools traveling the farthest tonight's Regional games at the Dieterich 1A Regional have been flipped.
South Central vs. Cisne will be played at 6:00p.m.
Altamont vs. Dieterich will be played at approximately 7:30p.m.

Dieterich High School has been chosen by IHSA to host the semi-final and championship games of the Class 1A Boys regional. The schedule is listed below:
Wednesday, February 23rd
Dieterich (7) vs. Altamont (1) at 6:00
Cisne (5) vs. South Central (4) approx. 7:30
Friday, February 25th
3-Point Competition at 5:30
Championship game at 7:00
The following IHSA rules/guidelines must be followed:
• Admission for all fans is $5.00, regardless of age. No regular season passes will be honored.
• Fans must refrain from walking on the court at all times, no one will be allowed to enter the gym while the game is being played. Fans may enter during timeouts, end of quarter, halftime, etc.
• The court will be roped off between quarters, halftime, and after the conclusion of games. No one is allowed on the gym floor at any time.
• Each team will be assigned a side of the bleachers, all fans from that team must sit on their assigned side. Bleachers in the balcony will be open for extra seating if needed. No children are allowed in the balcony bleachers without a parent/guardian.

Boys HS Basketball will open regional play this afternoon. Dieterich will be traveling to North Clay and the game will start at 2:00. Good Luck Movin' Maroons!
We are getting the buses out a little early today (Thursday) to try to stay ahead of any bad weather. The afternoon routes may be running just a few minutes early.
Due to the predicted weather forecast for this evening all after school extra-curricular activities, including the Varsity game at Grayville and all practices have been cancelled.
Parents please look through the attached pictures if your son or daughter is missing a coat or sweatshirt. Our lost and found is full!



Tonight is Senior Night for HS Boys Basketball. JV will start at 6:15 followed by the Varsity game. Senior Basketball, Cheer, and Dance members will be recognized between games. Come out and support the Seniors!
Our students had an awesome Valentine’s Day with their classes! Our 6th grade students made custom card boxes for our Kindergartner classes!
