Grandparent's Day 2019 was a huge success! Thank you to all of the Grandparents who visited our students today. Also, a big thank you to the HS Student Council and the OPAA! Kitchen Staff for serving nearly 1,000 meals today.

Gallon Purple Fountain Grasses - $8 each
DHS students in World History completed an archaeological dig recently. They surveyed an area for artifacts, formed a grid, and then carefully excavated pieces of pottery. Students than pieced their findings together and decoded the "ancient" message.

Tonight we have our open house from 6:30-8:00.
The PTO book fair will also be open tonight from 6:00-8:30 in the cafeteria.
Wednesday is Grandparent's Day starting at 9:00 am. Lunch will be chicken and noodles at no cost to grandparents.
The book fair will also be open during Grandparent's Day.

The small engine repair/automotive class has been very busy! This week the area of focus was brakes.
Some of Miss Burton's junior high classes enjoyed their STEM activity today! Lots of teamwork, strategizing, and laughs! And the winners got a box of Girl Scout cookies!

After School Art Program - POSTPONED. The Stang Arts Program scheduled for Wednesday, September 4th has been postponed to a later date. The new date will be shared as soon as it is available.

2018-2019 Yearbooks are available for pickup to all graduates of 2019 who ordered one. High School Office hours are 8:00-3:00.
The Dieterich Sportsbacker membership form is attached. Please consider joining the Sportsbackers. They supply a great deal of assistance to our school as well as ALL Junior High and High School Sports Teams, Cheer, Dance, Scholastic Bowl, Trap Team and Band. You can be as involved as you wish.
Tonight's softball game at Beecher City has been delayed 15 minutes. It will start at 4:45p.m.
Grandparents day at Dieterich Elementary will be Wednesday September 4th from 9:00 am through lunch. We will be sending home the sign up form soon. Also, there will be a book fair that week.
Thank you parents for you patience and cooperation today with parent pick up as we began a new process! Tomorrow will be a full day of attendance. Also, your student will have 4 pieces of paper with their last name in their folder tonight. Please put one of the cards in your passenger side front window. This will allow us to have your students ready as the line moves forward.
