First graders have been learning about the Super Hero vowels! When vowels say their names, they act like super heroes and show their muscles. When they are short, they are lazy and in hiding. These first graders are showing us what 4 of the 5 vowels do!

Please remove the following game from the JH Girls Basketball Schedule due to the fact that Teutopolis is going to state in JH Baseball.
JH Girls Basketball ------ Friday 9/29/23 ------ Dieterich @ Teutopolis

Our annual Pink Night Volleyball game is TOMORROW (9/28/23) at Altamont High School. F/S starts at 5:00, followed by JV and Varsity. They are doing a "Throwback Night" where instead of selling shirts they are asking everyone to wear a previous pink night shirt or pink apparel. (Then you could donate the money you would have spent on the shirt.) There will be a 50/50 raffle and a bake sale. All money raised will go to the Davis Family. The flyer is attached.

Tonight's HS Baseball game v. South Central will be steamed live on Facebook. Click on the following link for the game starting at 4:30.

September 26, 2023:
Due to hosting a home Baseball game and Cross Country meet, parking is not permitted behind the outfield fence, all around the diamond, until the conclusion of the race. This includes the right field parking lot and the left field grass area, as these areas are part of the cross country course. The race starts at 4:30 and we need the running area to remain clear.
There is also a discrepancy in the baseball start time. The HS Baseball game will start at 4:30, not 4:00.

The HS gym is now open! Tonight's Volleyball game will be played in the HS Gym!!! The lobby, bathrooms and concessions are open but we do still have construction going on so please stay out of construction areas.

The fifth grade was able to host an online meeting today with Debbie O'Connell who works for NASA training astronauts. She described her role in working with the astronauts, and the students were able to ask her lots of good questions. Thank you, Debbie, for providing our students with this cool opportunity! Debbie is the cousin to 5th grade teacher Miss Flood.

Mrs. Worman's 4th grade math students enjoyed class outside this morning! We have really enjoyed the great weather lately!
